Dan Strauss, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from New York City, where he has been writing and performing for over 20 years, will open the concert. Since emerging in the late 90s, Dan has steadily built a reputation for his evocative storytelling and memorable melodies. Steeped in influences across multiple genres including indie-folk, alt-country and rock, Dan has released seven independent albums, with "The Haze of Winter Flowers" being his latest. He has appeared NPR, WFUV, WDST-Radio Woodstock, and WBKM in Vermont. He has won over audiences with his melodic storytelling, warm, intimate vocals and intricate arrangements.
